St. Joseph’s General Hospital Elliot Lake (SJGHEL) is a Centre of Excellence and was founded on the rich history and legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph, who built and administered the Hospital. SJGHEL is a 55-bed hospital with three satellite offices. It is the largest corporation in 3.5-hour corridor between Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury, Ontario that provides; Obstetrical Services, Intensive Care, Surgical Services, Specialist Clinics, Addictions Treatment Services, CT Scanning, Dialysis Services, and Inpatient/Outpatient Diabetes Education and Care. We also provide the largest Satellite Oncology Program with over 500 visits annually.
SJGHEL is seeking a Manager, Information Technology to join our leadership team! The role will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer/ VP of Finance and Corporate Services. In this role you will provide IT subject matter expertise and support to the organization, manage all functions and processes related to information technology, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the IT team and organization wide. The successful applicant to the role will be responsible for a small team and provide hands on support as needed.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a four year bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology field from an accredited post secondary institution. They will also have a minimum of five years’ experience working in a leadership/supervisory role within an IT-related department, preferably in a healthcare environment. Experience in financial planning, budget execution, project management and Meditech is also preferred.
