WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Role:
We are seeking a talented Manager, Advanced Procurement, to join our Supply Chain Management team. This position will lead a team of procurement professionals focused on material readiness for projects that support NPI. This role supports the team in ensuring selected suppliers meet or exceed NPI’s project objectives including project budget, timeline milestones, quality, engineering/technical, commercial, capacity, and capability requirements.
This role is critical to ensuring the successful launch of innovative cooling solutions for our customers. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Management, the Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the advanced procurement function, from supporting the procurement of design and testing parts, to bill of material accuracy reviews, PO management and risk mitigation to NPI deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of Advanced Procurement Specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance and support to team members in all aspects of the procurement process, ensuring adherence to best practices and company policies.
- Identify training and development needs within the team and implement programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies to support SCM NPI projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives (budget, timeline, quality, technical specifications).
- Oversee the team's activities in ensuring material readiness for all NPI phases (EVT, DVT, PVT), proactively identifying and mitigating potential supply chain risks.
- Support category management in the selection and qualification of suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, capacity, total costs of goods, etc.
- Support category management in supplier performance management initiatives, including the development and tracking of supplier scorecards, analysis of cost of poor performance, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Manage supply chain NCR and ECN-based activities with the supplier, to ensure quality of material performance, disposal, re-work and replacement, as required.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between procurement activities and overall NPI project and business objectives.
- Represent the procurement function in NPI project meetings, providing updates on progress, identifying potential challenges, and developing solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the NPI procurement process.
WHO YOU ARE:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in procurement, with a focus on NPI and supplier management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, leading a team of procurement professionals.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP or related certification.
- Experience with procurement in a manufacturing or technology company.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
Skills:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of NPI processes and product development lifecycles.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies.
- Project & Cross-Functional Management: Manage procurement projects and work with other teams.
