We are currently seeking Maintenance Utility Attendants to join our Maintenance team.
Responsibilities
- Respond to guest room calls; repairing deficiencies such as minor electrical and plumbing issues, furniture and room repairs. Ensuring public space furniture and grounds are in good order.
- Complete swimming pool and spa maintenance duties according to Health Department Regulations.
- Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, or machines including cleaning, and visual inspections. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters.
- Provide assistance to Maintenance Manager and/or Senior Mechanics when performing maintenance on larger equipment.
- Use and care of hand and power tools and equipment appropriate to the area assignment.
- Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; properly store hazardous materials.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial and local codes and regulations.
- Demonstrated commitment to provide excellent service and exceed guests’ expectations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 1+ years of general maintenance experience.
- General knowledge of WHMIS and health & safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, safety awareness information, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (i.e., standing for extended periods of time, lifting up to 70lbs without assistance, climbing up and down ladders, moving through narrow or confined spaces).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Hospitality experience considered an asset.
