We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set that includes mechanical knowledge, electrical expertise, and the ability to fabricate solutions for various maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise projects while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and fixtures.
- Supervise and lead small teams on various projects to ensure timely completion.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or installations.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory.
- Fabricate custom solutions for unique repair needs as they arise.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand complex systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their needs and project status.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance or maintenance person roles with a strong mechanical background.
- Proficiency in electrical systems; knowledge of wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and installations is preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management is a plus.
- Ability to fabricate parts or components as needed for repairs.
- Strong command of the English language for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
- Leadership experience is beneficial for supervising projects and mentoring less experienced staff.
- Knowledge of welding techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
