The West Coast Fishing Club is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join the team.
The role of the Maintenance Assistant is to oversee the operation and maintenance of the resort property
Job Description
The duty of the Maintenance Assitant is to see to the smooth running of the mechanical side of the WCFC Clubhouse Lodge. The ideal candidate will have experience with diesel generators, R/O systems, electrical, plumbing and gas fitting, furnaces, carpentry, small and large appliances, etc. Successful candidates must be willing to relocate for long portions of the year, work long hours and step in whenever needed. The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for planning and executing projects and improvements throughout the season and off season. You will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.
This is for work on Langara Island In Haida Gwaii. It is a remote lodge with very specific maintenance needs. Only candidates with the right attitude, great work ethic and excellent communication skills need apply.
Successful candidates must have
Experience with diesel generators, carpentry & dry wall, R/O water systems, electrical, equipment operations
Ability to work and organize a remote lodge over the course of a season
Ability
Able to step in when needed to make for the smooth operations, including 24/7 emergency response in season.
Great work ethic and desire to work as team player to see to the success of the operation.
Successful Candidates Should have
Previous experience at remote locations
Red Seal/ Journeyman in relevant trade is preferred
