Key Responsibilities:
- Must have manual machining experience to work on equipment and to make precision parts.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to fabricate parts to exact dimensions.
- Inspect and measure finished parts using precision instruments to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure products meet technical
specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and accuracy.
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist in the maintenance of equipment and tools to extend their longevity.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in Machining,
Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is an asset.
- Proven experience as a machinist, ideally in the hydraulic systems or manufacturing
industry.
- Proficient with manual lathes, mills, and other machining tools.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools (callipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience working with hydraulic systems or in a similar engineering field.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
- Ability to weld is considered an asset.
