YARD and DELIVERY
Watson's Home Hardware is a LBM (Lumber and Building Material) retailer with six locations within Southwestern Ontario. We are currently seeking an ambitious and quick learning Yard Worker to join our Goderich team.
Essential Duties:
- Assist customers with their orders in a timely and professional manner;
- Load outgoing deliveries according to invoice and Company procedures, safely and efficiently;
- Unload incoming deliveries efficiently without jeopardizing yard safety;
- Proactively tidy and organize the yard as per Supervisory direction;
- Support Drivers on deliveries, such as assist with carrying drywall and window and door deliveries;
- Deliver materials to customers sites, in a professional and efficient manner;
- Count inventory, as needed;
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- A valid G class driver’s license with a clean driving record, required
- A DZ class driver's license is preferred, but not required
- Previous forklift experience, considered an asset
- Ability to accurately read invoices and count large quantities to ensure optimal accuracy
- Ability to lift and carry over 75lbs on a regular basis
- Ability to walk/be on your feet for the duration of shift
- Ability to work outdoors in all season and weather conditions
- Working knowledge of lumber and building materials and product application, preferred

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
