At Steele Ford, we believe a dealership's first impression begins in the lot- and that's where you come in. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Lot Attendant to join our dynamic team.

Hourly Rate: $17.05-19.75

Please note that this role is not eligible for participation in the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) due to the specific National Occupational Classifications (NOC) requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Walk the full lot and showroom at the start and end of each day to perform visual inspections
  • Maintain dealership appearance: pick up garbage, report landscaping or building issues
  • Ensure all showroom vehicles are spotless and properly displayed
  • Open all showroom blinds, tidy up displays, and ensure accurate point-of-sale materials are in place
  • Inspect all new vehicle deliveries for damage and cleanliness; remove shipping materials and prepare them for display or storage
  • Confirm proper vehicle branding: Steele plates, decals, and demo stickers
  • Ensure used inventory is in the right location and all new/demo/test drive vehicles are fueled and clean
  • Move and arrange vehicles for optimal visibility and traffic flow
  • Coordinate body shop appointments for any damaged vehicles

Weekly Responsibilities:

  • Prepare test drive units for the weekend (clean, fueled, and lined up)
  • Maintain Lincoln and Demo row cleanliness and display
  • Identify and flag vehicles with dead batteries or mechanical issues

Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Conduct new car audits with the sales manager – every car must be accounted for in person

Seasonal/As-Needed Duties:

  • Snow removal prep: organize the lot for plowing, brush snow off vehicles, and coordinate snow team
  • Weed control across paved lot areas
  • Assist with detailing, fueling, and moving sold or in-demand units
  • Support the sales and service teams: help technicians, advisors, and managers with vehicles and inventory
  • Assist with dealer trades, event deliveries (like Mooseheads games), bank/mail/courier runs, and sourcing materials for dealership events
  • Supervise detailing staff and coordinate their workflow as needed

What You Bring:

  • A valid driver’s license and clean abstract
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • A team-focused attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed
  • Good communication skills and a proactive work ethic
  • Experience with vehicle logistics or dealership lot operations is a plus
