Logistics Coordinator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics/Shipping Coordinator to contribute and strengthen our shipping operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in both logistics planning and hands-on shipping, with a strong ability to work within a team environment. This role includes coordinating shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and occasionally assisting in physically loading trailers to meet deadlines. It is a great opportunity for someone earlier in their career who is eager to contribute, learn, and grow with Columbia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily outbound shipments and logistics to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, bills of lading, and customs paperwork where required.
- Schedule carriers, book transportation, and communicate with drivers and logistics partners.
- Work closely with Production, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams to align shipping schedules with manufacturing timelines.
- Monitor and track shipments, resolving delays or issues proactively.
- Assist in warehouse activities, including occasionally loading trailers to support the team and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company shipping procedures.
- Support continuous improvement in logistics processes and efficiency.
Desired Skills/Interests/Experience
- Experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse coordination.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, carriers, and customers.
- Willingness to be hands-on when needed, including loading/unloading trailers.
- Computer proficiency (shipping systems, Microsoft Office, or ERP software experience is a plus).
- Team-oriented attitude with a desire to contribute across multiple areas of logistics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Forklift certification or prior warehouse equipment experience is an asset (training available).

Pay: $26.50-$32.50 per hour
