We are seeking a Team of 2 candidates as a live-in Resident Managers Team ( FT and PT ) to manage a 73 unit apartment building in central Nanaimo, along the ocean.
The building faces Newcastle Island, next to the Nanaimo Yacht Club Marina and Harbour front walkway.
Both candidates must apply together as a Team.
The live on-site requirement is non-negotiable and provides use of a large 3 bdm apartment at a substantial rent discount. The Team tenancy agreement is non-smoking and no pets.
Renovated apartment facing the ocean, 3rd floor, rent includes heat, hot water, parking and storage.
Duties include:
Cleaning common areas, exterior grounds, apartments for rent.
Answering rental inquiries, entries administrative reports in database system
Interviewing and selecting prospective tenants
Complete all necessary forms and lease document with new and current tenants
Communicate with tenants to resolve any tenancy issues.
Performing minor maintenance
Coordinate and supervise contractors for renovations when required.
Inspect suites for all move-in and move-out tenants.
Experience and handyman and carpentry skills are an asset.
Must be able to perform physically demanding work daily, such as using tools, carrying supplies, washing walls and floors, renovating apartments.
Must enjoy working with others staff and communicating with residents with courtesy.
A vehicle is required.
A separate office and a building workshop are on the main floor.
$52,000 / year for full time position
$28,000 / year for part time position
