We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Line / Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables and proteins.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards throughout all stages of food handling.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth operation during meal periods.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with fellow staff members.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
