Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at Pretty Not Bad. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor food stock and place orders when there are shortages
Skills:
- Knowledge of food safety principles
- Experience in the food industry or similar role
- Proficient in food preparation techniques
- Ability to handle food safely and hygienically
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with meal preparation processes
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred
