Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. In this role, you will assist in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
- Follow food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food products.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
