Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the safe handling and storage of food products.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
Skills
- Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
- Strong skills in meal preparation and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
