We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and maintain quality.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation and plating of dishes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment.
