Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety practices, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency of our kitchen and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food preparation and handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Help with menu planning and meal preparation based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about the culinary arts is highly valued.
