Job Summary
As a Line Cook / Prep Cook at Plank Restobar, you'll be responsible for preparing and executing menu items with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail. You’ll play a key role in ensuring a high standard of food quality and kitchen cleanliness while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Plank’s recipes and standards.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Follow prep lists and ensure food preparation is completed ahead of service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed (HACCP knowledge an asset).
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Receive deliveries, label and store food products properly.
- Assist with inventory control and minimize food waste.
- Take direction from the Head Chef and Sous Chef and execute tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Passion for food and a desire to grow within the hospitality industry.
