Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality control.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred, with knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the food industry is highly valued.
