XXI Chophouse is located within The Doctor's House in a sprawling estate in Kleinburg. Complete with gardens and fireplaces, this high-end steakhouse and chophouse serves fresh and aged organic and USDA beef, as well as fresh seafood selections.
What we're looking for:
A hard-working, communicative individual that pays close attention to detail and utilizes active listening skills to follow the process their Head Chef provides.
They always keep their station clean, tidy, and well-stocked to ensure food safety and high-quality dishes. We are searching for an individual that has great communication skills and showcases unwavering dedication to their craft.
Job requirements & responsibilities:
- We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience working at the garde manger station. Responsibilities include preparing salads, cold and hot appetizers, and side dishes, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and kitchen cleanliness.
Duties
- Prepare salads, cold and hot appetizers, and side dishes.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled according to food safety regulations.
- Be flexible and able to work at any kitchen station as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including utensils, equipment, and food storage areas.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service during peak hours.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant setting in a similar role.
- Excellent knife and plating skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Schedule
- Variable schedule between Wednesday and Sunday, with shifts falling between 11:00 AM and 9:00–10:00 PM. Please note that scheduled hours may vary week to week.
