Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and preparing sauces.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Handle food safely and efficiently, following proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and cleaning up after service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
