Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes meet our standards of excellence while adhering to food safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling practices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety guidelines.
- Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and proper equipment usage.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and food preparation methods.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
