Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The candidate who have a strong background in food preparation and handling is a plus, with a particular emphasis on multi-tasking techniques. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for creating high-quality dishes that delight our customers and uphold the standards of our restaurant. This role requires fast paced, knife skills, work under pressure, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredient, including vegies, sauces and meat.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain proper food handling practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of serveral ingredients and communicate needs to management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in kitchen or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
- Proficiency in meal preparation techniques specific to Japanese food.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail with a passion for culinary excellence.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Japanese language isn't required, but it's a bonus.
