Cioffis Cucina is seeking full-time cook to join the team!
Cioffis Meat market and Deli is an iconic Italian Butcher, Deli and Cucina that has been serving the heart of the Italian community for 35 years.
We are committed to providing exceptional service through our catering department, at private chef events and high-quality service in the Cucina.
We are looking for people that are excited to work in a fast-paced lunch restaurant, side by side our high-volume catering department. Tasks in the Cucina are running the hot lunch line with our sandwiches, working on our fresh daily pizza program and assisting our catering department to complete daily orders. From lasagna and pasta production to whole animal cookery we do it all, for small intimate weddings of 25 people to 600 person luncheons catered on site, as a team we work together to complete any event to the high standard expected of any restaurant in the city.
At Cioffis we can offer a unique opportunity to work in the restaurant industry with daytime shifts. We are all about work life balance and can provide the restaurant lifestyle with a regular life schedule. Shifts typically are 9am-5pm and 10am-6pm and then working special events on a case-by-case basis working around your availability.
Weekend work is required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years experience in professional kitchens (required)
- Italian or European cooking background (required)
- Foodsafe (required)
Assets:
- Pizza experience
- Drivers license
- Serving it right
Compensation
- Hourly rate $18-$21 (depending on experience)
- Daily staff meal
- 30-minute break daily
- Private events and catering jobs are paid at our events rates
