We are seeking an experienced line cook to join The Cheshire Cat Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Efficiently prepare and cook a variety of dishes to order, including meats, sauces, soups, and produce, following our recipes and quality standards.
- Station Management: Oversee and maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned cooking stations, ensuring all ingredients are properly stored and prepared.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality and presentation of each dish to ensure consistency with our standards, making adjustments as needed.
- Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate orders, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-volume kitchen environment required.
- Skills: Proficiency in preparing a wide range of dishes and using kitchen equipment efficiently. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential.
- Work Ethic: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment to quality.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work under high-pressure conditions.
Starting wage is competitive, based on experience, with room to grow- plus tip out and a free staff meal while on shift
