Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and food service, ensuring that every dish meets our standards for taste and presentation.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours
- Participate in menu planning and development as needed
- Handle food products safely, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
