Paradise Inn and Suites Hotel, Valleyview is seeking suitable individuals to fill the positions. The main function is to complete all laundry tasks required by the hotel following the companies' guidelines to ensure the comfort of the hotel guests.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sorting all items in the manner prescribed by the Head Housekeeper, following instructions posted in the laundry room.
- Putting aside all torn and damaged items and placing such items in the assigned area in the laundry room.
- Ensuring that the necessary cleaning agents are available at all times.
- Using laundry cleaning agents as specified by the Head Housekeeper.
- Loading the washing machine with sorted wash loads as specified by the Head Housekeeper following instructions posted in the laundry room.
- Drying all items at the temperatures and time length specified by the Head Housekeeper following instructions posted in the laundry room.
- Folding banquet and guest room laundry in the manner specified by the Head Housekeeper and placing Hotel uniforms in the assigned areas.
- Wiping down and polishing the outside of the washer and dryer with cleaning agents specified by the Head Housekeeper.
- Stocking bins with supplies required for store rooms, according to instructions the Head Housekeeper has left from the night before. Janitorial will stock rooms, and if no Janitor is available, Head Housekeeper and Laundry will be jointly responsible.
- Cleaning the lint tray of the dryer after each load.
- Cleaning the laundry room floor at the end of the day, paying particular attention to corners and the area around the machines, as specified by the Head Housekeeper.
- Performing any other duties as assigned by the Head Housekeeper or, in his/her absence, the person in charge of the laundry/housekeeping department
