The Anxiety and Illness Behaviour Lab (AIBL), led by Dr. Gordon Asmundson and located at the University of Regina, is seeking a Lab Manager/Research Associate for a 1-Year Term, with possibility of extension depending on available funding. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supervising lab research and administrative activities. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently, as well as the availability to supervise others. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating various research projects taking place in the AIBL Lab (e.g., participant recruitment and scheduling, managing research staff), as well as be responsible for lab administration, such as initiating knowledge translation activities (e.g., creating infographics, managing webpages), purchasing goods and services (e.g, completing requisitions, administering staff and student stipends and pay), and overseeing scheduling and coordination of lab staff, students, and volunteers, among other research and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will also be given the opportunity to contribute to research activities (e.g., conducting literature reviews, assisting with data cleaning and analysis using SPSS, manuscript preparation and publications, delivering academic conference presentations); as such, the position is an excellent opportunity for individuals with an interest in research and/or graduate studies.

Education, Training, and Experience:
Physical Demands
- An undergraduate (hons.) degree in psychology and one to two years of related experience is required.
- Having taken an undergraduate or graduate course in psychological research methods is an asset.
- Coordinating research activities
- Supervision and management of staff and/or students
- Assisting in the supervision and management of research staff and/or students
- Contributing to research activities associated with all life stages of a research project (e.g., conducting literature reviews, assisting with data cleaning and analysis using SPSS, manuscript preparation and publications, delivering academic conference presentations)
- Understanding of various methods used in psychological research
- Conducting administrative and operational activities (e.g., record keeping, budget management/administration, scheduling).
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Contribute to scientific knowledge (i.e., conference presentations, peer-reviewed journal articles)
- Work effectively and maintain good relationships within a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Analytic, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Pay Grade As Per CUPE 5791 Research Salary Range $30,000 Anually + Benefits Status Term Work Hours
Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (32 hours per week).
