Springwater Child Care Centre is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Staff Member to join our team! This role plays an important part in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment to support the daily routines of our busy and nurturing child care setting.
Location: Springwater Child Care Centre
Meals: Fully catered – no cooking required
Position Overview:
While all meals and snacks are catered, we are looking for a team member to ensure the daily flow of kitchen responsibilities are fulfilled;
- Receiving and organizing catered meal deliveries
- Setting up food for classroom distribution
- Distributing food and dishes to classrooms
- Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces and equipment
- Dishwashing and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Following all health and safety protocols
- Occasional light prep of snacks
- Supporting a safe and allergy-aware environment
Qualifications:
- Experience in a kitchen, food service, or child care environment an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to cleanliness
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check required
- Up-to-date Food Handler’s Certification (or willingness to obtain)
