We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient food preparation process. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness while supporting our cooks and chefs in delivering exceptional meals.
Duties
- Assist in meal preparation by washing, chopping, and preparing ingredients as directed by the cooking staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Help with food handling and storage, ensuring all items are labeled and stored according to food safety guidelines.
- Support cooks during peak hours by providing timely assistance with food preparation tasks.
- Follow all health and safety regulations in the kitchen to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in inventory management by keeping track of supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment will be beneficial.
- A passion for the food industry and a willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
