Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meal preparation, ensuring all items are fresh and ready for cooking.
- Follow recipes and cooking instructions to prepare meals efficiently and consistently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage and sanitation practices.
- Maintain and clean kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all patrons.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills in the kitchen.
