StaffingPlus is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Dishwashers and General Kitchen Helpers.
Position Overview
We are looking for dedicated team members to maintain cleanliness and support kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the food service industry.
Responsibilities
Dishwashing Duties:
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans
- Sanitize and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen utensils and equipment
- Stock clean dishes and utensils in designated areas
- Maintain dishwashing area in clean and organized condition
General Helper Duties:
- Assist with food preparation as needed (chopping vegetables, basic prep work)
- Support kitchen staff during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, surfaces, and equipment
- Take out trash and recycling
- Receive and put away deliveries
- Assist with general cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of work experience (restaurant/kitchen experience preferred)
- Valid Food Handler's Certificate or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
