Duties
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Assist in developing new recipes and menu items to enhance the dining experience.
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to health regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Experience in team management, with the ability to lead and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in food preparation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
