Job Duties
The Practice Education Administrator plays a pivotal role in the development and coordination of processes related to nursing programs at Sask Polytech. Notably this includes the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (SCBScN) and Collaborative Nurse Practitioner Program (CNPP). This role supports the academic chairs, program heads, faculty and staff through general program administration and coordination of practice education experiences.

- Oversee the coordination and processes related to placing nursing students in practice education experiences, which may take place within or outside of Saskatchewan.
- Lead the development and implementation of processes related to practice education experiences, ensuring quality and innovation. Make strategic recommendations for program quality improvement initiatives.
- Oversee risk management processes for both students and faculty, ensuring compliance with clinical placement agreements
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners including Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the University of Regina. Navigate both institution’s policies and practices to maintain effective delivery of practice education experiences for students.
- Maintain high proficiency in various applications and programs to ensure effective communication and program administration.
- Collaborate with the continuing education department, other healthcare programs/placement teams, provincial health authority staff and agency contacts to successfully deliver student placements across Canada and assist with international student experiences.
- Work within internal and external databases to ensure accurate data entry of complex information and requirements.
- Provide analysis and recommendations on training, and resource allocation which may have impact on budget needs.
- Support the academic chairs, program heads, and other staff with essential duties and administrative tasks.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
- Post-secondary diploma in office administration, business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years of recent and relevant experience in complex office administration positions.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms), knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and experience with data management for tracking student information (i.e HSPnet), academic scheduling (i.e Infosilem), and exam software (i.e Remark).
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to set goals, plan and prioritize.
- Demonstrated effective leadership skills including working with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills that can be applied to complex data management.
- Proven decision-making skills that can be applied to complex data management.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently with minimum supervision.
