Field Technician (Contract-Based)
As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site repair and maintenance services for laptops, desktops, and printers. This contract-based opportunity is ideal for independent professionals who enjoy flexible work, hands-on technical challenges, and a dynamic field service environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair laptops, desktops, and printers across all major brands.
- Perform hardware replacements, upgrades, and general maintenance.
- Accurately document work performed and report service outcomes.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch, clients, and support teams.
- Travel to customer sites within a typical 15–20 mile radius of your location.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a field technician or in hardware repair.
- Strong understanding of hardware components, peripherals, and operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.).
- Must own or have access to essential tools and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Eligible to work as a 1099 contractor in the U.S. or Canada.
- Smartphone with a camera and internet access required for job documentation.
