This is a full-time on-site role for an IT Project Specialist in Sherwood Park, AB. The Information Technology Support Specialist will be responsible for technical support, troubleshooting, desktop computer maintenance, information technology assistance, and providing help desk support.
- IT Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize servers, networks, and cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor IT systems for performance issues and resolve incidents efficiently.
- Network & Security Support: Manage firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security tools to ensure a secure IT environment.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain data backup solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Automation & Process Improvement: Utilize scripting (PowerShell, Python) to automate repetitive IT tasks.
- Technical Support: Provide Level 2/3 IT support for escalated issues, collaborating with help desk teams.
- IT Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate IT documentation and ensure compliance with security policies.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in IT operations, system administration, or technical support in Managed IT.
Certifications (Preferred but not required): ITIL, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Azure Administrator, AWS SysOps, CCNA.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
