About the Role
Data Eaver is seeking an Intermediate Technical Business Analyst to support enterprise IT projects. This role will focus on translating business needs into technical requirements, facilitating workshops, and supporting the delivery of cloud-based and enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
The successful candidate will work with diverse stakeholders across multiple domains, contributing to integrated system designs, process re-engineering, and large-scale project implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical requirements in enterprise IT environments.
- Collect and analyze requirements for cloud-based projects and services with large-scale providers.
- Identify and assess requirements across multiple architecture domains (business, application, data/information, security, privacy, technology).
- Develop integrated system and technical design specifications for complex engagements.
- Facilitate and manage business process development and process re-engineering workshops.
- Gather requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders across multiple departments or ministries.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and communications at various organizational levels.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for large, multi-stakeholder projects.
QualificationsMust Have
- Education: Must meet one of the following:
- University degree in business, management, or related discipline + 2 years BA experience;
- 2-year diploma in business, management, or related discipline + 4 years BA experience;
- 1-year certificate in business, management, or related discipline + 5 years BA experience;
- 6 years BA experience (without post-secondary credential).
- 5+ years experience translating business requirements into detailed technical requirements in enterprise IT.
- 3+ years experience collecting/analyzing requirements for cloud-based projects with large-scale providers.
- 3+ years experience identifying/assessing requirements across multiple architecture domains.
- 5+ years experience developing integrated system and technical design specifications.
- 5+ years experience facilitating and managing business process development and re-engineering sessions.
- 5+ years experience gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders across ministries or departments.
Nice to Have
- 3+ years developing and delivering communications/presentations at multiple organizational levels.
- 4+ years experience developing project documents across a wide variety of initiatives (strategic, IT, business improvement).
- 2+ years understanding the impact of policies, processes, and procedures on performance.
- 3+ years experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in large, complex environments.
- 3+ years experience working in or with the public sector.
