As an Instructional Designer on the Community & Training Team at Boomi, you’ll collaborate closely with Content Leads to design and develop engaging technical eLearning training programs delivered through our Learning Management System (LMS). Your goal is to ensure high-quality, innovative, timely, and effective learning solutions are delivered and accessible to our customers, partners, and employees. You’ll play a key role in assessing the impact of these solutions and driving continuous improvements to maximize learner success and support meaningful customer outcomes.
What You'll Do:

Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define needs and propose learning and development eLearning solutions

Develop technical eLearning according to adult learning principles, company standards, and guidelines, including learning objectives, storytelling, animated videos, scripts, infographics, job aids, knowledge checks, assessments, and other interactive elements

Receive and incorporate feedback—self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables and proactively communicate issues and risks

Efficiently publish content to the LMS, ensuring all materials are accessible, tracked, and reported on effectively

Implement evaluation and measurement tools to improve content continuously

Assist in developing and refining training team processes to gain efficiencies

Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation
The Experience You Bring:
-
4+ years of curriculum or instructional design experience or coursework in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or Adult Education
-
Understanding of Learning Management Systems and SCORM
-
Understanding of the Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model and ADDIE model
-
Experience with authoring tools such as Skilljar, Articulate, Vyond, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.

Ability to proactively manage issues, risks, potential challenges, and barriers, and when to escalate them
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to think creatively and offer innovative solutions
-
Passion for working as a team in a collaborative environment
-
Flexibility to work on simultaneous development efforts, as needed

Experience with project management and AI tools
Bonus Points If You Have:
-
Experience creating technical content and/or technical training materials
-
Experience in Successive Approximation Model (SAM) or other agile instructional design models
-
Program/Project Management Skills
-
Experience implementing accessibility features (ADA and WCAG standards)
-
Software/Technology experience in Integration and Automation, Data Management, and API Management
-
Experience using AI tools for writing or video creation

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation for this position in Vancouver, B.C. ranges between 95,000 - 120,000 CAD annually + applicable bonus. Final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
