About the Position
ATS Traffic Edmonton is looking for a Traffic Installation Supervisor to join our team! This position will be responsible for overseeing a group of Installation Technicians in our On-Street Services Division.
The successful applicant will provide supervision, guidance and motivation to employees to help them reach their potential! This role is key in the mobilization of resources to ensure timely execution of daily events including proper installation of guardrail, high tension cable barrier, posts and traffic signs.

Responsibilities
- Ensure the team operates in full compliance with the Health and Safety Management System
- Continuous monitoring of install schedule, keep informed of daily activities, delegate assignments to staff as required
- Review and inspect work zone ensuring timely compliance with drawings, maps, plans and regulatory specifications
- Ensure any work zone deficiencies are corrected in timely manner
- Accountable for ensuring field crew members have appropriate training, certifications and mentorship
- Follow up with field crews for equipment documentation and time sheets, complete and submit daily
- Liaise with Install Coordinator/Project Manager to allow seamless communication between office and field work
- Daily Reporting of Progress
- Conducting full-cycle Performance Management for direct reports.
Qualifications
- Approximately 1-5 years previous experience in a similar Installation role. Preference will be given to candidates with traffic related install experience, such are guardrail, barrier guard, and signage.
- Previous supervisory and/or traffic control experience is required.
- Ability to drive a one ton flat-deck truck. (ability to pull a 40'-00" trailer is an asset)
- Knowledge of Locats is required
- Must successfully complete Drug and Alcohol Testing *Note: This includes the use of marijuana, medical or non. As this is a safety sensitive position there is a zero tolerance policy in place for cannabis use.
- Must successfully pass a Fitness Evaluation Test lifting up to 65lbs
- Valid Class 5 (Non-GDL) Driver’s License is required.
- Must have open availability to attend to various tasks required for the role
