Synopsis of the role
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, as well as the ability to prioritize, collaborate in a cross-functional team structure, and problem solve. Written and verbal communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills are key to achieving success in this role. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt quickly to changing requirements and have the ability to work independently while managing and completing multiple projects simultaneously.
What you’ll do
Collaborate with multiple departments and cross functional teams including Global Security, Operations, Legal, and Marketing
Proactively identify and escalate security gaps, and provide adequate support and guidance to stakeholders
Support new engagements, contract reviews and Request for Proposals
Execute the fulfillment of Production Orders
Provide escalation support for third party risk management; working with the third party to close out security gaps and risks to Equifax Canada
Support Security and Marketing communications
Partner with Global Security and drive Security Awareness and Training initiatives across Equifax Canada.
What experience you need
Bachelor’s degree in technology or equivalent work experience
5+ years’ experience working in information security
A solid understanding of security best practices and international standards such as ISO27000, NIST, and PCI DSS and other security frameworks
Ability to convey complex information to a variety of audiences
Pays attention to team needs and pivots approach accordingly to support the delivery of business value
Proactive, detail oriented and able to work independently and efficiently
What could set you apart
French language fluency
Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or industry certifications
Familiarity with project management, Google Suite and related technologies
Knowledge and experience of Information Security Risk and Security governance and understanding of risks in the banking/ financial services sector
