Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting and finishing by removing contaminants and old coatings using sandblasting techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The Sandblaster will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality finishes on finished trailers.
Responsibilities
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting or restoration.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Utilize hand tools and other equipment as necessary for surface preparation tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
- Assist in the restoration of surfaces, ensuring that all work meets industry standards.
- Assist in shop in the finishing of trailers. Experience working on vehicles is considered an asset.
Experience
- Proven experience in sandblasting or related fields such as construction or landscaping is preferred.
- Experience using hand tools, and previous sandblasting experience is considered an asset.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within deadlines.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
