We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and experience working with children. This role involves educating young dancers in various dance styles while fostering a positive and encouraging environment. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in developing students' skills, confidence, and love for dance.
Are you a passionate, qualified dance instructor with a flair for flips and fierce pom choreography? We're looking for an enthusiastic Acro & Pom Dance Instructor to join our team as an Independent Contractor for the upcoming season!

The Role
- Teach weekly Acro and Pom Dance classes (recreational and/or competitive) for ages 5+.
- Deliver classes that focus on safe skill progression, cheer-style performance energy, and fun, structured training.
- Encourage proper warm-ups, flexibility, conditioning, and performance confidence.
- Develop age-appropriate choreography for showcases or competitions (if applicable).
- Provide positive, constructive feedback and uphold studio values in every class.
You Bring:
- Certification or experience in Acrobatic Arts, gymnastics, cheer, or acro-based dance instruction.
- Experience or training in Pom Dance (cheer, jazz technique, and stylized precision choreography).
- A strong understanding of technique, safe spotting, and developmental stages for young dancers.
- Your own liability insurance (or willingness to obtain), and WorkSafeBC registration if applicable.
- A positive, inclusive teaching style and the ability to engage students of all skill levels.
Bonus If You Have:
- Choreography experience for performances or competitions
- Previous teaching experience in a studio environment
- First Aid certification or coaching credentials

Pay: $22.00-$45.00 per hour
