Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented and compassionate Illustrator to join our media team. This individual will play a key role in creating compelling, emotionally resonant visual content that supports our mission. From designing custom artwork for product packaging to contributing to engaging social media posts and campaign materials, your work will directly support animal welfare and inspire our growing community of supporters.
About Dog Tales Rescue & Sanctuary:
Dog Tales is a world-renowned dog rescue and horse sanctuary set on an incredible 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City, Ontario. Our picturesque location - complete with walking trails, therapy pools, and a grooming spa - is the perfect setting for abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for forever homes. Along with medical care, our team provides all of the love, attention, and training that our rescue animals need to recover from their difficult pasts, so that they can move on to permanent, loving homes, which most do. For the rest, Dog Tales is home for as long as they need it to be.

The Role:
- Develop original illustrations for use in product packaging (e.g., treats, merchandise, apparel).
- Create visuals and illustrated elements for social media posts, videos, and other digital content.
- Collaborate with the media team to visually interpret animal stories and organizational campaigns.
- Assist with visual storytelling for fundraising initiatives and special projects.
- Maintain brand consistency while bringing a unique artistic perspective.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for upcoming campaigns.
- Adapt illustrations for multiple platforms and formats (print, web, social).
What You Bring:
- Proven experience as an illustrator.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate concepts into visual art.
- Understanding of social media platforms and visual content trends.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in packaging design or product branding is a plus.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a schedule of 8 AM – 5 PM, five days a week, with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
