We are seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to join our team and help us continue to grow.
Position Overview
The HR Generalist will be a key member of our team, acting as the go-to person for all things related to human resources. This is a true generalist role, supporting the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and offboarding. You will be responsible for administering HR policies and programs for our diverse team of office professionals and skilled production staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the entire recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and preparing offer letters. Lead new hire orientation and onboarding to ensure a smooth and positive integration into the company.
- Employee Relations: Act as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures. Mediate and resolve employee concerns and conflicts in a confidential and effective manner.
- Payroll & Benefits Administration: Act as an integral part of our payroll function, responsible for key steps in the bi-weekly processing cycle as either the primary or secondary administrator. You will ensure data accuracy, prepare payroll inputs, and verify outputs for timely payment. Concurrently, you will own the benefits administration process, managing employee enrollments, life event changes, and serving as the main point of contact for all benefits-related inquiries.
- Health & Safety: Champion a safety-first culture. Partner with the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC), support safety initiatives, and assist with WorkSafeBC claims management and return-to-work programs.
- Performance Management: Support the annual performance review cycle, assist managers with performance-related issues, and help coordinate training and development initiatives.
- HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain the company's employee records system, ensuring all files are accurate, confidential, and up-to-date. You will develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the BC Employment Standards Act and other relevant legislation.
- Reporting & Analytics: Prepare HR reports on key metrics such as turnover, recruitment activity, and absenteeism.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the BC Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code, and WorkSafeBC regulations.
- Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment and employee relations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport at all levels of the organization.
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment is strongly preferred.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Assets (Nice to Have)
- CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) designation or working towards it.
- Experience serving on a Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC).
- Experience recruiting for skilled trades or technical roles.
