- Support in the effective operations of the Labour Relations function of the Hospital, including but not limited to sick leave tracking, generating Union reports, and tracking grievances deadlines, preparation of employee letters, taking minutes at meetings, and generating & analysing data driven reports for the LR team.
- Perform administrative duties such as preparing specialized & mass distribution communication, data entry, filing, record management (electronic and paper), as well as calendar management for the LR team.
- Enter, update and retrieve employee data from the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and other sources to create and maintain datasets.
- Support the management of shared email inboxes, triaging employee queries, concerns, and requests; respond where appropriate and direct employees and management to the appropriate team member in a professional manner.
- Provide backup support to the HR Helpdesk
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
- Diploma, or Certificate in Business Administration, Human Resources, or in related discipline.
- 2 years in Human Resources OR In lieu of formal education, 3 years in Human Resources.
- Knowledge of Collective Agreements, the Employee Standard Act, Human Rights Code, and Accessibility of Ontarians with Disabilities Act
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Exceptional organizational and customer service skills
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or in related discipline
- Certified Human Resources Professional Designation (CHRP)
