We are seeking a highly competent and experienced HR & Accounting Generalist who will not only manage daily operations in HR and finance—but also build our internal financial structure from the ground up. This includes implementing financial controls, optimizing accounting workflows, and establishing the protocols necessary to scale effectively.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Accounting & Financial Infrastructure
- Create and implement clear accounting workflows and financial control systems across all businesses
- Build internal accounting processes for expense reconciliation, revenue tracking, and cash flow monitoring
- Reconcile income and expenses weekly across clinic operations, training programs, and trade shows
- Develop detailed reports: P&L statements, cash flow updates, and monthly performance summaries
- Ensure proper classification of all business tools and subscription expenses (Zapier, Eventbrite, etc.)
- Oversee contractor and vendor payments, ensuring proper documentation and tracking
- Conduct ongoing audits of revenue streams and expenses for accuracy
- Implement internal checks to avoid financial discrepancies and improve reporting efficiency
Human Resources & Payroll
- Liaise with our external HR consulting team to ensure compliance and HR policy alignment
- Manage onboarding and offboarding for all employees and independent contractors
- Oversee payroll (monthly and bi-weekly cycles), employee records, and vacation/sick day tracking
- Support recruitment efforts, posting roles, screening resumes, and preparing contracts
- Ensure timely contract renewal alerts and benefits administration
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for employee support and daily HR needs
Multi-Location Flexibility
This role requires the ability to travel between multiple offices across the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto, Burlington, Mississauga, and Thornhill, based on business needs. Candidates must be comfortable commuting between locations as part of their regular responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, financial management, or controllership roles
- Strong understanding of financial controls, systems design, and accounting best practices
- Hands-on experience setting up accounting/HR systems and protocols for scaling businesses
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel/Google Sheets, and payroll software (e.g., Wagepoint, Ceridian)
- Strong understanding of Canadian payroll, employment standards, and contractor agreements
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and confidentiality
- Experience in multi-entity or multi-division businesses is a strong asset
- Industry experience in healthcare, aesthetics, or professional education is a plus.

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
