Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing team in the renovations and construction industry. This role is essential to supporting our field crews and office staff through efficient HR practices. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and comfortable handling a variety of HR tasks in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Duties
- Coordinate the full recruitment process, including job postings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and assisting with onboarding new hires, including tradespeople and office staff.
- Maintain accurate employee records, including certifications, licenses, and training documentation.
- Support employee relations by addressing questions, concerns, and resolving workplace issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist with implementing and communicating HR policies, procedures, and safety protocols aligned with company goals and industry standards.
- Provide guidance to employees on HR-related inquiries, fostering open communication and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling employee information and sensitive HR matters.
- Support seasonal hiring needs and assist with workforce planning as projects ramp up or down.
Experience
- Experience in Human Resources, preferably as an HR Coordinator or in a similar support role—experience in construction or trades-based industries is a strong asset.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work well with field and office staff.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and a variety of personnel needs.
- Knowledge of employment standards, safety requirements, and basic HR best practices.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
