The Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Their role contributes directly to the overall guest experience by ensuring rooms are welcoming and meet the property’s quality standards. The Room Attendant plays a key role in providing a positive and memorable stay for guests, ensuring their needs are met with care and attention to detail.

Key Accountabilities:
- Clean and service assigned rooms and areas according to established standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Follow all safety and security procedures while performing daily duties, handling and storing chemicals in compliance with hotel regulations and local legislative requirements. Ensure adherence to the hotel’s policies regarding the security of bedrooms and master keys.
- Handle lost guest property in accordance with hotel procedures and report damaged or missing items to the Housekeeping Office, as well as any maintenance issues to the Maintenance Department or Leader on Duty.
- Address guest requests in a courteous, prompt, and professional manner to enhance the guest experience and ensure satisfaction.
- Follow departmental policies and service standards, contributing to high-quality guest care and smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, supporting a collaborative team environment and ensuring high standards of work.
- Attend scheduled team meetings, training, and orientation sessions to stay informed about Pearle’s standards and continuously improve performance.
- Maintain punctuality, uniform presentation, and personal hygiene, always adhering to Pearle’s policies. Stay calm under pressure and demonstrate a sense of urgency during peak periods.
- Act with integrity and professionalism, taking responsibility for decisions and actions, building strong relationships with guests and colleagues, and contributing to a positive work culture.
- Arrive fully prepared for each shift, in full uniform and with all necessary tools to ensure smooth operations and deliver an excellent guest experience.
- Additional duties: In addition to the accountabilities listed above, there may be other duties as assigned by your manager. These duties may vary slightly depending on the property.
What we would like you to bring to the position:
- 2+ years of professional cleaning experience is an asset
- Hotel pre-opening experience is an asset
- Experience with luxury or Forbes recognised hotel systems is an asset
- Exceptional attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to follow proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
