Courtyard by Marriott is a 94 room select service property located in Mississauga. A corporate class hotel that provides modern design and the amenities today’s traveler requires. We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Manager to join our team.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Housekeeping Manager will oversee and support the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This position requires high visibility and the desire to interact with team members and guests while performing floor shifts. The Housekeeping Manager will implement and inspire the highest standards of cleanliness and quality, ensuring all team members are provided comprehensive and ongoing training. The successful candidate will ensure proper and accurate reporting of labor while diligently managing inventory controls pertaining to their department. The Housekeeping Manager will follow Marriott brand standards and proper cleaning techniques ensuring a memorable stay for our guests. Other duties include preparing weekly payroll, responding promptly to guest concerns, purchasing, inventory management, budgeting, responding to lost and found inquires, and assisting with administrative duties.
As our ideal candidate, you will have 2 years managerial experience, preferably with a hospitality perspective. The successful candidate will bring exemplary attention to detail, problem solving skills and a refined team-building toolkit enabling them to effectively interact with department heads, guests and team members. Exceptional communication and guest service skills are a must. As well, you will have a demonstrated ability to form, train, and motivate high performing teams. This position requires the ability to work a varied schedule that can have varied start and end times as well as days, evenings, holidays and weekend shifts.
