Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team at our limited-service hotel with 81 rooms. The ideal candidate will have general maintenance skills with a solid understanding of pool and hot tub maintenance, and a keen eye for safety and preventative maintenance. Previous hospitality experience is an asset but not required.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including general plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting in guest rooms.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain all public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house spaces
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
- Maintain logs and records of maintenance activities and pool/hot tub chemical levels
- Ensure safety procedures are followed and hazards are promptly addressed
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience with pool and hot tub maintenance.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in general maintenance or hospitality environment preferred
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. climb ladders, and perform physical tasks
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
