Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Hostess to join our dynamic team at Turtle Jacks Mapleview Mall. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and maintaining the flow of service in our restaurant. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize the dining experience.
- Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials or promotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations or providing information as needed.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist in training new hosts/hostesses as needed.
Skills
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on creating positive experiences.
- Experience in serving or food service is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus.
- Previous restaurant or hotel experience is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
